DANCING ON THE EDGE (DoE)
NatureMoves Facilitator Program
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
In this program potential NatureMoves facilitators are supported to complete a major project they are passionate about, in the area of Nature and Movement Arts.
Program Directors Melinda Harrison and Maureen Momo Freehill teach all foundation curriculum of NatureMoves emphasizing artistic collaboration. We serve as personal mentors and committed listeners, supporting your intentions as you design and complete your chosen project.
Upon successful completion of DoE program you earn a NatureMoves Certificate of Completion for the Embodied Art Programs with NatureMoves, including EAT and WDR.
This program is open to artists and performers of various mediums and diverse backgrounds who are developing their expressive and embodied art works in public arenas.

INTENTIONS:
To create the space for artists, writers and somatic professionals to discover and develop a deep listening for what Nature is saying about how we move and relate especially thru dialoguing with the Earth.
To cultivate a new generation of NatureMoves facilitators who can carry on the work of Embodied Art in Nature confidently, competently and artistically.

THEMES:
~ RSVP Cycles Art of Scoring; a collaborative process and practice it in preparation for mapping our solo performances.
~ Butoh Landscape; a practice of highly sensitizing oneself to inner and outer landscapes, to create unique soul and body performances aligned with ones True Nature.
~ Journeys in Wilderness; to share the the LifeArtProcess work in an outdoor nature-based environment where participants go on a journey into their site and psyche
~ Dance as Breath Made Visible; to free the Body and Voice through breath and kinesthetics utilizing Movement Ritual 1,2,3 and activities with sound.
