NATUREMOVES WISH LIST —
**Financial contributions to our Scholarship for Diversity programs and our basic operating budget.

**Outdoor gear such as tents, coolers and sleeping bags, pads for our out of town event participants.

YOUR modest financial support will allow us
to hire, on part-time contract basis, administrative services to help surmount our dependency on volunteer work.
And, foremost it will provide specific support we need to expand our network and recruit more young and diverse participants. This means we can offer tuition discounts or full waivers to a few of these key participants and/or pay talented young performers.

HOW WE USE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS for the GREATEST GOOD:
NatureMoves, like many organizations committed to “conservation of nature,” has come to realize that it is essential to expand the reach of supporters and participants to include young, urban and diverse people.

Conservation of nature must not remain the province of an older, white and affluent population.
We are committed that NatureMoves directly contributes to an expanding global nature conservation movement.

We see moving artfully with nature as an essential avenue of inspiration, participation and communication that can make nature conservation a more broadly accessible and compelling way of life for all people. Through moving arts, everyBody can fall deeply in love with the nature with which we are inextricably bound!

NatureMoves body of work has inspired thousands
of people over the years
and we have developed a dedicated –yet limited in demography– participant network.

We are committed to significantly increase the number and diversity of our network, with specific emphasis on building participation in areas of facilitation and leadership of more younger and ethnically diverse artists.

To manage this campaign we must build on our minimal administrative capacity, including social media, up-dating website, and up-dating current contact data base. We also engage in direct outreach efforts in places like Naropa University and UC Boulder Dance and Environmental Studies Programs to reach young artists and passionate future leaders and facilitators in the field.

We also intend to add people who represent this expanded demographic to our small board of directors.

Outreach efforts to date have been based primarily on personal, word of mouth communication. We employ no staff. All efforts have depended on volunteer work of the executive and artistic directors, board members and other participants.

Financial support of NatureMoves has consisted primarily of participant tuitions, designed to make each event just break even. A very small additional margin has allowed us to occasionally offer “work-scholarship” or reduced tuition for outreach targeted and underrepresented people, but this has been inconsistent and challenging to offer in advance of basic enrollment.
